Higher Educational Special Scholarship (HESS)

The Government have converted the loan scholarship scheme for Higher Education to a grant based scheme called Higher Educational Special Scholarship (HESS) for the Tribal students to pursue higher education from the year 2002-03. Under this scheme, the tribal students residing in institutional hostels and pursuing graduate, post graduate and professional courses are eligible for Scholarship of Rs.7500/- per annum for degree courses and Polytechnic Courses and Rs.8000/- p.a. for P.G. and Professional Courses provided their parental/ Guardian annual income does not exceed Rs.2,00,000/- from 2013-2014 onwards.

Higher Education Special Scholarship

Students belonging to ST converts to christinity community who are staying in Paid Institutional hostels are sanctioned scholarship as follows.

For degree / polytechnic courses Rs.7500/- p.a.
For Post graduate / professional courses Rs. 8000/- p.a.

  • Scheduled Tribes Students .

  • The students who are staying in paid Institutional Hostels.

  • Income not exceeding Rs.2,00,000 Lakhs
