The Tribal students studying in standard 6 th to 10th are exempted from the payment of special fees. The expenditure incurred by the Tribal Welfare Schools on account of the exemption granted are reimbursed by this Department to the institutions through the POs / DADWOs.

Free Education for under graduation course
Under this scheme special fees and examination fees in respect of the Tribal Students pursuing +1, +2. BA, B.Sc., B.Com. courses which are not covered under State /Government of India scholarship schemes are reimbursed to the Head of Institutions by the Project Officers / District Adi Dravidar & Tribal Welfare Officers. Under this scheme, all the non refundable fees payable by the students to institutions are also sanctioned. No income limit is fixed to avail the benefit under this scheme.
From the year 2001-2002 this scheme is extended to the Tribal girl students pursuing P.G. courses.

Reimbursement of Tuition fee to Universities
The students belonging to the tribal community studying in Government / Government aided institutions are
eligible for tuition fee concession beyond +2 stage irrespective of the annual income
of their parents/guardians. The tuition fees foregone by the institutions on account of
tuition fee concessions is reimbursed through the Directorate of Collegiate
Education, Director of Legal Studies, Director of Technical Education.

Exemption from payment of Registration fees and Application fees
From 1999-2000, the Tribal students who get application to join degree, post graduate courses and professional courses like Medical, Engineering, Agriculture, Veterinary and Law are exempted from payment of application fees and registration fees. For those who are eligible for Government of India and State Postmatric Scholarship the admission fees and registration fee will be sanctioned to the students along with scholarship.
The examination fees payable for the X standard and XII standard public examinations are reimbursed to the Director of Government Examinations. There is no income limit for this.
